Expanding Point-of-Care Testing Throughout Michigan

Workflow Services, a comprehensive and automated platform that facilitates point-of-care clinical service delivery for pharmacies has partnered with one of the nation’s largest retail pharmacies to enable diagnostic testing for strep and a combination of COVID-19/flu tests in 250 stores in Michigan.

“Increasingly, pharmacies are serving as a one-stop care destination, however pharmacists are laden with paperwork and processes that are analog, error prone, and inefficient,” said Kevin Houlihan, CEO for Workflow Services. “Our technology solves for that by digitizing pharmacist workflows and creating custom solutions that can be implemented and scaled efficiently.”

At participating pharmacies in Michigan, customers can receive reliable diagnostic testing for Strep A as well as a combined Flu A and B and COVID-19 test. No appointment is necessary, and customers can register online or walk into their local store.

The Workflow Services’ tech-enabled solution is the future of pharmacy and streamlines customer care by:

●  Digitizing patient forms – reducing staff burden and allowing patients to securely complete forms on their own devices

Turning care protocols into high-quality decision support – patient responses automatically feed into decision trees for pharmacist

● Supporting care guidance and delivery – patients receive test results automatically and securely, including referral, Rx, or other interventions
