Kevin Houlihan and Elise Miller Hoffman on FDA Partnership and Recent Growth

Workflow Services by ImageMover's CEO Kevin Houlihan and Chief Operating Officer Elise Miller Hoffman discuss the growth and momentum 100 days after being selected as a partner for the FDA's Diagnostic Data Program.

The FDA created the program to address and eliminate critical barriers to capturing the full potential of diagnostic data. The FDA selected Workflow Services to collect and transmit vital point-of-care testing data, helping to inform public health officials and accelerate care delivery in pharmacy settings.

Watch the video or read the transcript below to hear Houlihan and Hoffman review the how Workflow Services has accelerated the mission of making pharmacists a key player in local healthcare delivery.

FDA Partnership

KEVIN

The community and retail pharmacy is a critical access point for many families to get care in ways that might be challenging to get through the traditional healthcare setting.

Our partnership with the FDA really helps recognize that the pharmacies play a key role in access to diagnostics and test-to-treat across the country.

How Pharmacists Improve Healthcare Access

ELISE

There is not only a provider shortage, but about 25% of Americans don't have a primary care provider.

That pharmacist is many times the more accessible and trusted provider in a patient's life that they may be seeing as often as every two weeks, every four weeks when they go in to pick up their script.

Advantages of the Workflow Services Platform

KEVIN

We're excited to simplify the way a customer might get access to medical services when they're at their grocery store that's got a pharmacy there.

We can streamline the experience, save work for the pharmacist, improve the experience for the customer, and really open the opportunity to have access to their healthcare, and manage their healthcare in a more convenient way.

One of the advantages of our technology is that we guide the pharmacist through the workflow that is required to deliver a clinical service. But then, because we've helped them through that process, we can automatically build the insurance claim, which allows them to get reimbursement for the encounter that they're having with the patient.

New Leadership Positions

KEVIN

We've recently brought on a new chief innovation officer, a new VP of client success, and a new strategic account executive.

ELISE

So we are growing, and this just really enables us to be an even stronger partner to our pharmacy customers.

Pharmacists’ Key Role in Healthcare Delivery

KEVIN

Together with our pharmacists, we are formalizing the recognition that they have been providing healthcare services to their customers and patients for years and years.

And we are recognizing that the time they spend to provide coaching and health guidance should be recognized as part of the healthcare delivery that's happening across the spectrum for these patients.
